How to Play Roulette

We would like to provide you with the basic rules to give you an idea on the roulette game structure.

The game’s goal is to guess in which pocket the ball will stop. The player bets against the dealer:  he is in charge of spinning the wheel, checking the ball and eventually paying the wins. The American Roulette wheel has 0, 00 pockets and 36 numbers, while the European Roulette has a 0 pocket and 36 numbers. To learn more about the differences between the European and the American game, you can read the Roulette Variation page.

You can have up to 8 players at a table and each one receives chips in a different color in order not to confuse them. When talking about online roulette, there is no need in changing colors because every player is betting on his own.

When gamblers start to play, placing their bets, they can decide whether they prefer betting on a number or several or on one color (black or red) or on even/odd numbers.

The dealer launches the ball after  spinning the wheel and when he says “No more bets”,  gamblers cannot bet anymore. When the ball stops spinning, the dealer communicates the result to all gamblers at the roulette table and whoever guessed correctly, receives his winnings. The loosing bets money goes into the casino cashier.

The game’s purpose is guessing where the ball is going to stop. Since roulette game is a random game, one spin does not influences the result of the next one.

Knowing the rules, which are really simple and need no training whatsoever , playing roulette is pure fun! All the dealer’s instruction are in French, always and everywhere.
